UNCOMMON is our  Youth  group that meets every Sunday morning and Wednesday night at New Life Church!
In our lives, we face culture pressure that causes us to lose who God calls us to be... Uncommon.

Being uncommon means...
- Being different in a world that looks the same
- Strangers in a foreign land
- Our identity is found in Christ
- Having the heart of a stranger
- Act in love
Our main passage for being an Uncommon people is found in 1 Peter 2:9-10
"BUT YOU ARE NOT LIKE THAT. FOR YOU ARE A CHOSEN PEOPLE. YOU ARE ROYAL PRIESTS, A HOLY NATION. GOD'S VERY OWN POSSESSION. AS A RESULT YOU CAN SHOW OTHERS THE GOODNESS OF GOD, FOR HE CALLED YOU OUT OF THE DARKNESS INTO HIS WONDERFUL LIGHT. "ONCE YOU HAD NO IDENTITY AS A PEOPLE; NOW YOU ARE GOD'S PEOPLE. ONCE YOU RECEIVED NO MERCY; NOW YOU HAVE RECEIVED GOD'S MERCY."

We are part of the Church of the Nazarene, a denomination that spans all across the world. In the United States, each state/city is divided into districts that meet, lead, and learn together throughout the year. We are a part of the Southern California District (So-Cal) and the Nazarene Youth International (NYI). It's a privilege to meet with other students across California, it allows us to grow and lean on one another. The reminder that we are not alone! We do events throughout the year with the other churches in our So-Cal district. It's amazing seeing our students meet new students that are chasing after the same thing, God!
